The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

30 August

Message was received from Wolfie, age 10: Hello, Charlotte's Web is an incredible read. I would recommend it to anyone. Do you have any recommendations for books with morals and points to them? I also like books that include a subject of animals that people from the age of 10-13 can read. Also, I am reading Lord of the Flies., do you have any suggestions for chaotic books?

Alice and Izzy's advice: Thanks for the book recommendation! We think you would really enjoy The Snow Child. It is a challenging read but includes a subject of animals and has a strong moral. The Snow Child is about a childless couple who live in Alaska. They would love to have children but they can't. One day, their dream comes true and a child (who has no parents and lives in the wild) knocks on their door. It is a really great book with a sad twist at the end, hope you like it!
